The Indonesia Infrastructure Week 2018 (IIW18) was held at Jakarta International Expo in Indonesia from 31 October to 2 November 2018.

The event comprised six vertical trade shows focusing on different priority sectors: (1) InfraEnergy Indonesia 2018, (2) Special Economic & Industrial Zones, (3) InfraPorts Indonesia 2018, (4) InfraSecurity Indonesia 2018, (5) InfraRail Indonesia 2018, and (6) InfraWater Indonesia 2018.

Under the InfraSecurity Indonesia 2018 pillar, Hitachi showcased solutions revolving around social infrastructure and Information Communications Technology (ICT). Specifically, a solution employing Multiple Perspective Search (MPS) through Artificial Intelligence was introduced with an aim to better contribute to Indonesia’s security landscape. The exhibition received over 1, 000 visitors.

Mr. Irwanto Obed, Business Development Manager, Social Innovation Business, PT. Hitachi Asia Indonesia, delivered a keynote presentation on the “Development of Image-analysis Technology with AI for Real-time People Detection and Tracking”. As a panellist for a session on “Opportunities and Challenges of Meeting Security Resources Requirements for Physical Infrastructure in Indonesia”, he also highlighted the importance of protecting security, which can be done through co-creating innovative security soutions with Hitachi.

Through our event sponsorship, guests were better able to understand Hitachi’s continued endeavour in supporting Indonesia’s push towards building a safe and secure society under its 2015-2019, US$460 billion infrastructure development programme.
